The data template screen allows you to define the format of pay data being imported from external sources, whether timeclocks, spreadsheets or ASCII text files.
In this example, the PAYDATA file contains six data items in each record. The payee code links the data to a particular employee, the cost code is specifying the department or job the pay is to be costed against, and that is followed by the
number of ordinary hours worked, the number of overtime hours at time and a half, a number of dollars of expenses incurred by the employee and finally a number of dollars as a productivity bonus. If any of the items are blank or zero they are not added to the employee's payslip.
